In the absence of a significant medical breakthrough, more than 6.4 million Australians will be diagnosed with dementia in the next 40 years, at a cost of more than $1AU Trillion.
Dementia is already the core business of aged care as over 50% of older people in residential aged care are living with the illness. Many more dementia patients with differing needs are living In our communities, with the support and care of formal or informal home based carers. Due to the recent changes to the funding of care services under the Aged Care reforms, a cloud of uncertainty hangs over the direct outcomes for people living with dementia. The focus of the Dementia Care Delivery Summit for 2017 will be on developing the capacity of dementia care providers to provide optimal care for people with dementia by developing a commercial model for growth and service delivery.

"It was one of the best conferences I have attended. I believe it was very informative, current and forward thinking - and reassuring to say the least with all the work and research that is happening in Australia and globally. I found this particularly interesting. I would strongly recommend colleagues to attend next summit. Well done to those that pulled this all together"
"The whole conference left me inspired to undertake further study"
